Hope & Homer

Driving down the Seward Highway we had great views of the Turnagain Arm of the Cook Inlet. We stopped in a small mining town, Hope and scored an amazing camping spot at Porcupine Campground. So nice to explore a small Alaskan town that’s a bit off the beaten path, so it’s not crowded with tourists. With such an amazing campsite, we decided to stay there an extra day before going to Homer. We’d planned to ride our bikes along the Homer Spit, but it was too cold and windy. Fortunately it was clear so we could see the mountains across the Cook Inlet. We stayed the night in Homer and Randy managed to “catch” a few fish!
