Healy

We arrived in Healy on 6/5 and immediately went into family time mode! Visited with Kevin, Megan and especially Skylar, and unknowingly taught her to fist bump! Then Kerry, Dave, Quinn, and Rowan arrived on 6/7, having flown into Anchorage the day before, and then took the train to Healy. We squeezed an amazing amount of sightseeing, visiting, and bonding with Skylar over the next 5 days – walked on the tundra with the Moon Dog Kennel sled dogs, went to the Denali National Park visitors center, watched a sled dog demonstration, took a bus tour of the park, and saw Mt. Denali (and thus joined the 30% Club, as only 30% of the visitors actually see the mountain which is hidden in clouds the rest of the time), did a bit of souvenir shopping, and a short hike. Quinn and Rowan earned their Junior Ranger badges. All too soon, they flew back home on 6/12. We stayed a few more days, perfecting the fist bump with Skylar! but are now back in vacation mode, heading for Homer.
