Sitka

Continuing the Alaskan ferry trip, we were amazed how narrow the channels were, and how close to the shore we came.
The next chance for going on shore was Sitka. This time we were met by a bus, that took us the 7 miles into town for a short 1 hr, 30 min visit. But the bus driver’s commentary on the drive was very informative and we made the most of our time there, visiting the museum, and walking around town. We were very impressed with Sitka, and think we might return someday for a longer visit.
We arrived at the end of our ferry trip in Haines, AK at 8:45 am 6/2. It was an awesome trip with amazing scenery and the weather the entire trip was perfect! Tomorrow we start the drive to Healy.
