7/3: The South Klondike Highway goes from the Alaska Highway to Skagway, and has some of the most stunning alpine scenery of the trip.

We spent the next few days in Skagway, very much a cruise ship stop. On 7/5 we road on the White Pass & Yukon Railroad, and we were lucky enough to be there on one of the days that the steam engine runs – so much better than a diesel!

Thank you again Patty for posting these wonderful photos! We DO hope to take a similar trip to Alaska, maybe next Summer? Along with exploring Canada with our Canadian friends who live nearby. I especially liked your photo of the flags of each country and province you traveled through! Had to look them up. But of course, photos of the mountains, lakes and gorgeous scenery are amazing. We hope to visit you when you finally return to CA! C&C
