Left Moorpark at 9:20 this morning. Even though we tried to stay ahead on the preparations, there was still more to do before we could leave then we had planned on. It’s a different mind set when your leaving for 2 months instead of 2 weeks!
We drove up the I5 to try to stay out of the worst of the heat wave. Still, it was 106 going over the grapevine into Bakersfield. But it dropped down to 93 on the other side. Stopped about an hour past Sacramento at Happy Time RV Park in Dunnigan. Temp here is 85 at 7 pm. Plan to leave first thing in the morning to get as far as we can on the way to Bend, Oregon. 
Flying Pig Diaries 
I will think of you every time I drive past the box canyon flying pig…now fir a different reason! Bruce said is was 111 in moorpark.it was 118 in my car at 445 pm.
