Eating up the miles, we drove 440 miles today, stopping in Madras, Oregon at the RV park at Jefferson County Fairgrounds. We’ll head into Washington tomorrow and on into Idaho. We’re actually ahead of where we thought we’d be at this point, so we may slow down a bit and see if there are any wineries or breweries to visit along the way.
Already have a crack in the windshield we got sometime this morning – saw it when we stopped for gas. Fortunately it’s at the top and doesn’t interfere with visibility.
Ok… Found my way to your blog. The adventure has begun. Wish it was me. S in Vegas with her sister for a few… They are due back later today (Sunday)… So it’s me with the cats. Sorry to hear about the windshield…but kind of inevitable yes?
Are you crossing into B.C. from Idaho? Some beautiful country up there. Enjoy.

Yes, we expected that the windshield would get it on this trip but not the second day out, even before we got to Canada! Originally we were going to cross in Montana into Alberta but the heat was too high going through Nevada and Utah so we went up the I5 into Oregon and now heading east into Washington to cross in Idaho.
