A long, busy, successful, and even fun, day

Got up this morning at 4 AM and drove 275 miles to Yukon Radiator in Whitehorse. This far north, the dawn lasts a long time. We saw 2 porcupines, a moose, and a caribou. Got there about 8:30 and dropped off the radiator, or as they like to say here- the “rad”. While it was being repaired we visited The Yukon Transportation Museum.

Also The Yukon Beringia Interpretive Center where we learned about the ice age when there was a land bridge between Asia and North American. We also had some wildlife sightings.

On the way back we saw a rainbow! And we stopped at a roadhouse for dinner. They had big shared tables and a trucker sat down to join us. Very interesting and funny conversations. I guess our “lemonade” turned out pretty good today.

  1. Dang ! These things can get frustrating but you two make it work. I know it is all part of the adventure but you always would like it to be easier.

Good for you two for enjoying the good parts and just dealing with the difficulties. Hope the rest of your trip is easier.
