Back on the road again but much rougher today. Beautiful, unexpected scenery and a huge crack in the windshield – oh well, it’s only crack #4!
Lake Kluane is the largest lake in the Yukon, and we were surprised by the salt flats and winds off in the distance. Stopped for the night in Destruction Bay (population 55). Good cell and only $15 Canadian to park at the hotel for the night. Tomorrow – the boarder into Alaska! 7/24/18

Wow… I read that some folks install a large steel “grid” on the front of their vehicle to help protect from gravel etc., but doubt if that would protect windshield. The lake is awesome..

We fully expected to replace the windshield when we get home from this trip. Just hope it holds until then! On this recent one, just a quarter inch lower and it wouldn’t have cracked the window. Oh, well…
