Whitehorse and vicinity

After 4 days on the road, we decided to stay put for a day and explore the area by car and bike. We drove to the small town of Carcross to see the little locomotive Duchess, which the Disneyland mine train and Thunder Mountain train used as a model.

Then we drove the car to Whitehorse and road our bicycles on the Waterfront Walkway, passing by the S. S. Klondike on our way to Yukon Brewing Company to get a growler fill. A growler fits perfectly in the bike’s panniers!

  1. Bikes look good. You’re getting way up there on the trip…good stuff. I’m just back from the Truman Museum trip in Kansas City…so am catching up on your journey.. looks like you’ve settled in and are having the adventure you planned.

    1. Yes, we are! And roads up here are actually in better condition than the ones we traveled on in lower Alberta. We enjoy your comments and missed them when you were away.
