Almost to Dawson Creek, but wait…

Left Edmonton this morning, assured that our bike rack would be ok. Passed by more vibrant yellow fields of canola in bloom. They are so bright they must be visible from space!

The day was thankfully uneventful until we stopped for the night just past Grande Prairie (40 miles to Dawson Creek) at Saskatoon Island Provincial Park. It’s a beautiful campground, a slight breeze rustling the trees. But as we unhooked the Jeep, that pesky spring in the tow bar arm bent again. We’re going to have to try and get a replacement spring tomorrow or fix this one again. It doesn’t cause a problem while towing, just when we connect or disconnect the Jeep. Oh well, just another challenge to overcome… but I could sure use a day where nothing goes wrong!

  1. Just checked you out on the “spot” map… when you move out on the map it puts the distances involved into proper perspective… wow, some great space to cover. Am sure you will get the annoying minor repairs under control… Looks like you are wheeling through some truly magnificent country. Enjoy
