Left Calgary today (well, almost). Notice in the photo there is only 1 bike on the bike rack?
There was a lot of road repairs being done, with uneven payment and no signage. We had a hard drop of about 6 inches from new pavement to old road service and the arm on the bike rack let go of the front bike. The straps on the tires held but the handlebar dragged on the road. Luckily Ed and Barbara were following and alerted us, so we pulled over. The brake and throttle cable was worn away and the end of the hand grip was ground down on one side as was the speaker on the handlebar. The shifter works but the display is broken. We called the Pedego store in Calgary and they said to bring it on in and they’d look at it. They’re going to try to get it back in running condition by tomorrow for us! Amazing! Kudos to the Calgary Pedego dealer. They even gave us a recommendation for a local brewery to make it all better. So we’re staying just North of Calgary in Balzac tonight, hoping they can get it done tomorrow so we can get to Edmonton only 1 day late.

Pedego dealer sounds like one of a kind…hope they can do it. Well, just part of the adventure, right?
