Our trip has ended before it really started! Last post we were stuck at Fraser Lake on Sunday, 8/10, waiting and hoping for a mobile tech to come and get our slide back in. Finally on Monday, 8/11, Burt Garcia came to our rescue. He was finally able to get it to retract, after much effort. However, he advised us to not try to put it out, but to take it to a RV repair shop. The next day we drove 2 hours to Prince George to Fraserway RV. Unfortunate;y they said the entire mechanism has to be replaced, and it will take 4-6 weeks to get the parts. It was impractical to continue the trip without a functioning slide, since we can’t access the bed, so we decided the only option was to end the trip and return home. 4 days later, we are home, dreaming of a 2026 trip.
