Back in California

Stopped for the night in Standish, near Susanville, at Days End RV Park. We drove through forests and high dessert today, past ranches and small towns. It’s funny how our viewpoints have changed since making this trip to Alaska. 2 years ago we traveled much the same route we took today, and we saw it then as desolate and unoccupied, really out in the middle of nowhere. We stayed in the same RV as we are tonight, and thought it to be just average and pretty unremarkable. Today we saw the same territory as being full of life, interesting and notable. The RV Park is much nicer than we remember it. Guess our perspective has changed. Funny how that happens when you travel and expand your view of the world!
