On the road again! With smoky buffalos.

The radiator reinstall was completed at about 3pm so we decided to get outta town! Big thanks to Bee Jay’s Services for getting us back on the road.

We decided to go back on the Alaska Highway rather down the Cassiar as we were doing when the radiator went. Didn’t want to risk another rock doing damage again. We are also eliminating (make that postponing to another trip), some of the stops we had planned so we can still make it home on time.

British Columbia has many fires, as does the rest of the West. The Alaska Highway was closed for awhile south of Watson Lake. But fortunately it was open again by the time we left. It was very smoky, but we did see several buffalo along the way. We had hoped to drive out of the smoke before we stopped for the night, but it just goes on and on. We finally gave up and stopped in Muncho Lake at The Northern Rockies Lodge. Our campsite would have a nice view of the lake, but it’s obscured by the smoke.
