Roller coaster road and…

Turned onto the Cassiar Highway at Junction 37 on the Alaska Highway. The first 20 miles or so is an oiled gravel pavement. Not bad but certainly not smooth either. And it’s very hilly with grades to 8 percent. There’s no centerline and no shoulders. Fun!

Then the road turned into nice, new, smoooooth pavement. We stopped for lunch at Beaver Dam rest area. We were just about to leave and continue on our way to Jade City, and then Dease Lake for the night when I decided to take some trash to the waste can. I noticed some green fluid leaking from the rear of the RV. The radiator has a leak! So we disconnected the Jeep, left the cats to guard the RV and drove back to the nearest cell phone signal which turned out to to Watson Lake on the Alaska Highway. Called AAA, and a tow truck will be out tomorrow afternoon. Not sure where they will take the RV or how long it will take for repairs. We’re hoping it’s something that can be easily fixed. So- stay tuned to find out our next adventure!
